The Chinese Take-Out Cookbook Giveaway

Diana Kuan's The Chinese Takeout Cookbook has changed my life when it comes to making Chinese food.  I purchased this cookbook and the first thing I made was the Kung Pao Chicken Blog Post Link it was so simple to make and delicious.  All of Diana's recipes are approachable and she explains them so well that I may never order Chinese take-out again.

When I participated in the Chinese New Year virtual pot-luck on Diana's blog Appetite For China I received a copy of her cookbook.  Since I already have Diana Kuan's cookbook I am giving away that copy I received along with a Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 10 inch stir-fry pan to one lucky person.

The Chinese Takeout Cookbook: Quick and Easy Dishes to Prepare at Home by Diana Kuan

Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 10-in. Stir Fry Pan

There will be NO jumping through hoops to win all you have to do is leave a post answering this one question.

When you get Chinese Take-Out where do you get it?

That's it, so simple....You have until May 14th to enter, one entry per person, open to US and Canada only.

Until Next Time,
Pam

  1. I don't have a good Chinese take out place so I have to make it myself! How sad is that? I've been wanting this book since Jenny first mentioned making a couple of the recipes and I started reading Diane's blog. I would love to have it and the lovely pan. Thanks, Pam! (P.S. I have a US mailing address so don't panic about shipping if (when) I win.)

  8. Ah! I love this giveaway :) You are so kind to do this.

I have always wanted to try making Chinese food, but Anthony doesn't trust me and says its best left to the professionals. I think that with a cook book on my side he might let me try ;) We always go to the same place since moving to the city. Its called The China Place. They have the best food, huge selection, great prices, and overall great customer service. We recommend it to all of our friends/family.

P.S. Sorry if this posted twice, computer glitched out and not sure if it worked.

  10. We've only got one Chinese take out place in town...the Maple Restaurant. LOL...I'm not too adventurous with homemade recipes...usually stick to fried rice, chop suey, egg foo yung, stir fry or beef & broccoli...maybe it's time I tried something new :)

  13. Oh I would love to have this cookbook! My favorite Chinese takeout place may not be so happy though with me as I would love to make more Chinese food at home. My favorite Chinese take out is a place close by named the Great Wall of China and it is so delicious but again I would much rather make our favorites at home! Thanks at the chance to win this amazing book & wok!

  18. I grew up eating chinese food. My parents took me to the finest chinese restaurants. When pregnant with my yngst son, I craved chinese food and ate it at least five to six days a week. He now LOVES chinese food. I would love to learn to cook chinese and surprise my family with a home cooked chinese meal. And add it to my weekly menu at least three to four days a week. I love watching it prepared and I love to cook. I've just not taken the time to figure out how to make the food. I usually make all my newer recipes from guessing. Some I have recipes for. But I've nothing for chinese, other than an egg drop soup recipe I had for years, until I lost it. So, hoping this is a chance to learn something new and that I really love :) Thanks!
